DETAILS
The Michigan Forest Association welcomes members and future members for this unique opportunity to enjoy mindfulness in nature. Join certified forest therapy guide and MFA board member, Maureen Stine, and MFA's Lindsay Lights Forintos for this slow, gentle meander through one of our idyllic Northern Michigan forests. Forest bathing is a restorative sensory exploration combining rest and wandering interspersed with facilitated group gatherings and solo time. The emphasis is on unplugging, slowing down, and awakening the senses. Water and light refreshments will be provided. This event is for adults only (18+). Space is limited to 20. Additional Supportive Information: There are a few times during the program that participants are invited to sit if they care to. Participants are encouraged to bring a small, lightweight, portable camping chair or a blanket, towel, or pad to sit on. This event will be held in light rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the ever-changing Northern Michigan weather conditions. Bring along a hat and rain gear and comfortable footwear. There will be a porta-poty available. Although not considered ADA accessible, this rustic, overgrown landscape is predominantly flat. The areas we will visit are devoid of significant incline for wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters. Everyone is welcome. Please use this link to see the location in Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/qKAiAExYKuj6tfkPA
